I'm trying to import a video from into iMovie, but something must have glitched up. Every time I open iMovie, it tells me that it's importing, but nothing is actually loading, and I can't cancel the import or do anything else in iMovie. Any suggestions?

Open a video file You captured in QuickTime-Player
Then open Inpector - cmd+I - and read:
Video format (CODEC) : nnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Frames per sec : YY.yy
What does they read ?
