GarageBand 10.0.2, Need help with crash upon opening project

First, just to get this out of the way:

System Specs:

Macbook Pro, 15 inch, Early 2011

Processor: 2.2 GHz Quad Core i7

Ram: 8 Gb DDR3 1333 MHz

Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1 Gb GDDR5

Hard Drive: 750 Gb SATA Disk 5400 RPM

I was working on a composition and had gotten quite a bit accomplished, but when I tried to save the project, the program stopped responding and crashed. The odd thing however, is the thumbnail preview for the file shows the updated version of the project, as if it had saved properly.

The problem is when I try to open this file, it uses up about 3.5 Gb of ram and then just crashes. Other files open completely fine, however, it appears to be only this one that causes the crash. Is it possible the save was corrupted in some way? There were no real instrument tracks, just software instruments with MIDI sections.
