It's shown this message for a long time and i know its not my computer because ive tried it on different computers and i got a new one. Restoring the iPod erase the iPod. The iPod is like it was when you purchased it.
thanks so much. restoring fixed it. i wrote down all my songs before restoring and redownloaded them all. at first it didnt let me restore but i think i did a hard reset and now it works! 🙂
