Change network modus from 802.11n to 802.11g (fix)

Airport Express (latest firmware update on 2014-07-09)
How can I change the network modus from 802.11n to fxi 802.11g ?

==> I bought the Zeppelin Air from B&W and this speaker works only with the 802.11g mode. I have problems to connect the Zeppelin Air with the 802.11n (auto) network.

Hey QUP1968,

There is a way to do that but first we'd need to know what computer you're using that has Airport Utility and, if it's a mac, what is the OS version.

Here is what you'd need to do if are using the latest Mac OS version, 10.9.

1. Follow the instructions in this article to get to Wireless Options in Airport Utility.

2. You can set it to 802.11a/n - 802.11g only (5 GHz setting - 2.4 GHz setting)

3. There is also an option here to separate the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz networks, creating two wifi networks. One with your normal wifi name "QUP1968 Wireless Network" and another with your normal wifi name plus the number "5" at the end, "QUP1968 Wireless Network 5". Make sure you are connected to the one without the number 5 at the end after you update.

Keep in mind this may also hurt your network buy lowering it's speed. You will also have to make sure any device that will be using those speakers is connected to the same network. If your mac is on the network with the number "5" at the end and your speakers are on the other, they will not see one another.

Hope this helps!
