No service

About a week ago I noticed my phone was displaying no service all the time. i switched it between airplane mode but this didn't help. The other day I turned the phone off and cleaned the sim. For 48 hours the problem seemed to be resolved. Then again this afternoon I noticed i had no service again. Is anyone else having this problem. I bought my phone in New York whilst on holiday so it still quite new.

Have you contacted your carrier for their advice? They may need to get you a new sim card.
