APC Smart-UPS 1000VA LCD 230V
I am currently looking at buying this item for my iMac and after several searches have been unable to find the answer to my question. I have read all about the USB part but not found the answer to this question.
Q) Can the power cable supplied in the box connect from the APC UPS to the back of the iMac late 2013?
if not would this item I seen called APC AP9881 2-Feet 10-Ampere 230-Volt Power Cord be ok?
I live in the UK..
Your iMac has a power cord, plug that cord into the UPS, then connect a USB (A to B) cord from the UPS to the iMac.
You're done.
The back will look like this
So the power lead that came with the iMac won't fit in the back as its not an IEC socket
The UK socket looks like this.

The cable that comes in the APC box looks similar to this;
Where was the Mac bought and where was the UPS bought and where are you now?
You can get adapters for the plug on the Mac's power cord, or if you are permanently moved you can get a new power cord for the Mac with the correct plug.
Both UPS and Mac from bought in England and live England. I can only see ones threw online searches from UK retailers with IEC connectors on the back.

You have bought a US model, take it back and get a UK version.
Nope, sorry, voltage is correct for the UK, you just don't have a UK power cord for it, is it supposed to come without one? was this new?
It has US style outlets and an IEC cable, but no AC cord. Is it complete?
