i bought an ipad mini 2 in uae, but i dont find facetime in it... i found facetime as builtin app in uae apple website... anyone pls help me how to use facetime
FaceTime is prohibited by law in the UAE...you cannot add FaceTime back into the system even if you leave that country. The device is permanently locked out of FaceTime.
but apple has mentioned there is builtin facetime app for ipad mini 2 in their uae website...
FaceTime is builtin as part of the iOS and Mac OS X EXCEPT for those devices sold in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and a few other countries in the Middle-East. Those countries do not permit FaceTime so it has been removed and the devices locked so it cannot be added even by an iOS update.
You are welcome...this question comes up periodically and there just isn't anything we can do to help...it is a legal matter in those countries.
