Insuring iMAC for Long Haul Plane journeys
I want to insure my son's iMAC which he is bringing home to the UK from New Zealand. Non of the UK insurance companies want to insure it. Can anyone advise where in the UK I can get this insured please?

Your son might have better luck if he arranges the insurance in New Zealand, i.e. the point of departure.
Alternatively, have it shipped by a recognised carrier/courier company and arrange the insurance through them.

Thank you Klaus. I have looked at NZ Insurance which is outrageously extortionate. I am exploring the carrier option now.
All the best
Is the original packaging still available?
Yes. But the airline wants a waiver signed to say they are not responsible for any damage in transit.
I wasn't suggesting that. Pack the iMac in its original box inside another strong rectangular box that fits it securely, then use Fedex or UPS, insured. It won't be cheap but it will be reliable.
Thank you. Sounds like a good option.
You're welcome.
