My ipad keeps showing a dead battery, even though I charged it

My ipad 2 keeps displaying a dead battery, even though I charged for 2 day. I already tried restarting it by pressing the home and sleep button at the same time, but still no luck. It just continued displaying a dead battery. Anyone, Please Help.

I would make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out. Batteries do have finite life spans and yours may have reached the end if its. I believe battery replacement costs are around $99 plus taxes.
