Random Crashing (EXC_CRASH) (SIGABRT)

I have a 2011 iMac running Mavericks that began crashing about 3 weeks ago. It progressively got worse and was completely random. It effected my Calendar, Contacts, Mail, Numbers and Firefox. I decided that I would try a clean installation. I copied everything to a external HDD, erased the internal HDD and reinstalled OSX. After installation, I installed Numbers and linked everything to my iCloud account. Nothing else was installed but unfortunately, the crashes keep occurring.

Before the install, I ran the Apple hardware tests (both normal and extended) and bot passed without error. I can get the entire error if needed. That's just what I copied and have with me.

Thanks!

Hi Linc Davis. In researching all of the crashes, I ran into your posts a good bit. I was hoping you would be available to help.

The memory (4 x 4GB, I think) was never replaced and is what was installed when purchased. I'm assuming you are leaning towards a memory issue? My experience with PCs is that random, unexplained errors are typically caused by damaged RAM modules. I know the Apple Hardware Diagnostics cover memory, but when I run Memtest 86 on a PC, I leave it go for about 24 hours.

I guess the easiest thing would be to pull all but one of the sticks and run the machine that way for awhile and see how it behaves? Or is there a similar program I can run for the Mac that will test the RAM thoroughly?

Thanks!
