SIM NOT VALID
I have brought an iPhone 4S that has been unlocked by Vodafone. I get SIM NOT VALID screen when I try to set up with Virgin sim
I suggest checking with Vodafone and ensure the unlock has been completed.

Un fortunately I tried this pointing out my IMEI number and the one on the message did not match! Their reply is that it has been but I am beginning to doubt this.
Only the carrier the device is locked to can authorize the unlock. You will have to deal with Vodafone on this issue. I'm sorry no one here could do anything for that.
