Why does my phone keep trying to connect my calls to facetime without being prompt?

Everytime someone calls me, my phone keeps trying to connect to facetime. I will accept the call and say hello and then it will go on speaker and my phone will say "connecting..." with the facetime screen up and then disconnect and say "unable to connect facetime". Even though NO ONE tried to connect facetime... HELP?!?
