Hip-Hei,
you can download a manual for your 13-inch Early 2011 from here. Yes, you could upgrade to 16 GB (two 8 GB modules) of RAM. If you have the right set of tools, you could change the battery yourself; be sure to dispose of the old battery properly.
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011) and MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) |
|
Number of memory slots | 2 |
Base memory | 4 GB |
Maximum memory | 8 GB |
Memory card specifications | - Double Data Rate Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Module (DDR3) format - 67.6mm x 30mm (1.18 inch) - 2 GB or 4 GB - 204-pin - PC3-10600 DDR3 1333 MHz type RAM |
Additional notes | For best performance, fill both memory slots, installing an equal memory module in each slot. |
Why it does not say Maximum memory 16BG??
What kid a tools to change battery?
This:
Apple Mac Mini Screwdriver Repair Kit Tools (2010-2012) Screw driver
or
Macbook Pro Battery Replacement Tools Screwdriver Kit
1. As I wrote above, because Apple didn't update it.
2. You'd need the MacBook Pro kit but shouldn't attempt this yourself.
