ITunes Match !!!!

Itunes issue

Hello there please help on the following issue.

When I signed up for itune match, going through the start up process I chose my ipad collection to be my itune media file to upload. My main media file is on my windows 8 PC and now cannot be located due to the ipad itunes somehow becoming the file itune match is linked too.

I cannot locate any of my 8095 song previously organised in itune media file. All I want to do is revert to this file and upload all files to iTunes Match but I don't know how to do this.

Any advise will be gratefully received

When you you subscribed to match, did you let match scan your iTunes library on your computer? Do you still have all your music on your hard drive and do you have an external back up. iTunes Match does not scan the music on your iOS device.

I don't know if it scanned my pc's itunes. It looks like only recently purchased files have been added. I have a backup but itunes still shows all album covers etc but cannot locate them if selected. So on my hard drive it looks like they have gone. There was an update recently also. Could it have been this also?

Hi,

You should have let iTunes Match scan your computers library as it does not scan iOS devices. You should restore your music from you backup and then let match scan your itunes library.
