Upgrade SSD or buy an iPad?

1. Should I buy an iPad to use for reading eBooks for school or should I just stick with my MacBook Air?

2. If I stick with my MBA, what is the best way to go about upgrading the SSD?

First off, I will be using eBooks instead of regular textbooks for my upcoming school year. My mother wants me to just use my MBA and read the books on there, but I have been having storage problems with it. It's gotten to the point where I have to delete things multiple times a day in order for it run smoothly. I'm wondering if it would be worth it to just upgrade the SSD or buy an iPad to use for the eBooks. I'm not sure how much it would cost for the upgrade, but if I do get an iPad, it would be the iPad Mini w/ Retina, so the cost for upgrading would have to be less than $400.

Stick to the computer. You cannot upgrade the internal SSD in a MBA if it is a Mid 2013 or later model. Visit OWC for possible alternatives if you have a model in which the SSD or HDD can be replaced.

Did you look at the storage that the $400 iPad mini provides? 16 GB. If you have storage problems now with your MBA, they will not be better with the iPad mini.
