Orginally I had a iphone 4s and have recently purchased another phone that is not apple. Now all my friends that have an iphone can't message me because their messages go to imessage. I have tried everything short of deleting my iTunes account. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get this to stop???
Their phone is remembering that you had an iPhone. Try having a friend edit your contact info on their phone. Next to your number they have it as iPhone. Have them change that from iPhone to mobile and see if that works? Other than that I would just have them delete you then add you again. Never had this issue before. Hope this helps.
Still have your 4S? To deregister your phone number, tap Settings > Messages and turn iMessage off
