Reverting back to 10.8

Hi i have been using mavericks for a while now but do not like it. It has slowed down my computer and many of the things i like before are now gone. Is there anyway that i can go back to my previous version which was 10.8. I am not good with computers so i have not been able to figure out how to set up the time machine i tried but cant figure it out.
