Can you get your ipad 2 replaced for an ipad 3

my friend got her iphone replaced at the apple store and only had to pay $200 for it. Is it possible for me to get this done, I think I have just ran out of warranty, not sure if my friends warranty was out either. My ipad is the ipad 2 iOS 7.2 and would like to replace it for the newest ipad. Thanks

Step up to a new iPad Air or iPad mini with Retina display today, and you could get up to $200 in credit when you recycle your iPad. Bring it to any Apple Retail Store and you can get immediate credit. Or mail us your iPad and get an Apple Store Gift Card.1

iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display are unbelievably thin and light, yet they’re so powerful and capable. Thanks to the A7 chip, they offer up to 4x the speed and up to 8x the graphics performance.2 So apps run much faster, games are more responsive — and you still get up to 10 hours of battery life.3 Wi-Fi is significantly better, and both models support lots of LTE bands.4 You can even capture stunning photos and HD video. And with the Retina display, images are incredibly detailed and text is razor sharp.

Aloha Gail. Correct up to $200.00. i stopped by the Apple store today to check. The ipad must be an iPad 2 or above and in working condition, no broken screens.

A couple of weeks ago did you say you could no longer see which questions were unanswered ? If so let me know I'll post a site map that let's you see if the questions had been answered. Bob.

Aloha Bob! Am I dreaming things, or did your avatar change for awhile there?

I've found a pretty good navigation system for me in this new format. I usually start with Content>Participated>Discussions to see if any of the posts I have been participating in have been updated. Once I exhaust those, I go to All>Discussions to see what new posts are out there or which have also been recently updated. I have gotten pretty good at spotting the ones with "0" responses, or with just a couple....

Sounds like you are faring well on the new site? If you would be so kind as to share your site map, I am sure it would be helpful! 🙂

Hope all is well in Paradise! Things are lovely here in Shangri-La!

Aloha Gail. Same old avatar. Here's the site map.

Scroll down to Using ipad and you'll get a page a lot like the old discussion page. At a glance you can see the unanswered questions and if a question has a thousand views you know it's probably an oldie.

i'm learning the new system a little a time. I took the attitude like it or hate it it's the one we have and what matters is that people are still asking questions and when possible I still like being able to help.

Stay well Bob.
