I have an optical cable connected from Apple TV to my Sound Bar. I'm getting sound from the Sound Bar as I move from app to app, however when I click on either NetFelix or HBO GO and play a show I don't get any sound from my Sound Bar. I am only having this issue with these 2 particular apps. All the apps on the Apple TV the sound works just fine from the Sound Bar.
Any suggestions on how I can fix this?
Do you know if your Sound Bar can handle Dolby Digital? Have you tried disabling Dolby Digital output as suggested here? Re: Apple TV with 6.0.1 optical out no sound on filmI'm not sure about HBO GO, but I'm guessing there's a similar setting.
