Hi, I have been trying to resize my cover image to upload onto ibooks. The file was huge- 8000 x 12000 with 600 resolution and 7.5MB.
I have scaled it using gimp to 1400 x 2008 (auto size after i changed the width) and have even tried as low as 1 resolution and it is still telling me that the file is too large. I have tried all different resolutions but it doesn't change the file size. Its now 2.6MB. i have even tried making it 724 x 1000 (ish) and its STILL says its too large.
I have tried duplicating and re-saving the iTunes producer file and then submitting as I thought maybe it was reverting to the original image i put up.
What am i doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
