Safari update is a disaster.

Today I was offered an update to 7.1 (9537.85.5). Next I was asked to update Flashplayer.

Now each time Safari is started I need to (1) activate all extensions and (2) rearrange buttons in menu. This is a tedious job and not very user-friendly.

Bad Apple, how do I get back to previous without trashing everything? 😮 😟 👿

Try deleting the Safari cache.

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following

~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db

Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.

Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

BTW, Apple does not write Flash. Adobe does. So when there are security issues with Flash, Safari users must update their software. http://www.macrumors.com/2014/07/10/apple-forcing-flash-plug-in-upgrade/
