Bluetooth Diagnostics Utility

Anybody else having trouble with "Bluetooth diagnostics utility" and "Bluetooth explorer" under Mavericks?

When accessing the Show Device Discover pane in BE, my devices aren't recognized, but an "unknown" device is found. Trying to get Device Info causes BE to crash.

In BDU, when trying to Collect Bluetooth Information (under "Characterize my wireless environment") no device is detected and the utility hangs.

Any ideas, fixes?
