pen name problem in the uk

Just signed up to iTunes connect to publish my book on iBook, they won't allow me to change my seller name to a pen name unless I have a state issued proof of my real name and pen name, or a registered business name. But my pen name isn't a registered name and I am in the UK, what sort of proof can I possibly give? thanks

Apple make "requirements" and cast them in stone. BUT "State issued" could be a tax return with your "real" name. Banks form s etc could be faked... but a UK tax form included your NI number etc,.

A "pen" name is ( IMHO) valid only to the book its applied to..... as JK Rowling has demonstrated!

I suggest you contact iTC support or who ever you have already contacted and ask the question about your tax forms.
