I have MacBook Air running on OS X version 10.9.3. Each time I go into contacts I get a pop up saying contact can't connect to my google account and asks me to insert my user password. I've checked this and entered in the appropriate box. I don't get a message telling me that the password is wrong just the pop up coming up again. I've exhausted my ideas for a solution. Any suggestions gratefully received. Richard
Are you using Googles 2 factor authentication method on your account?

I have the exact same problem as mentioned above. I do use Google's 2-step authentication. Should I turn that off temporarily?

If you are using it and want to keep using it then you must supply both factors when you connect to your calendar (or anything else Google). Your password will not be enough. Did you not read the directions Google supplied when you turned it on?
Yes, I am aware of the need to provide authentication. Problem is, I don't know how to supply it. The dialogue box asks for just one password. Can you advise?

Consult Google, it's their system.
