When I unlocked my iPod (5th Generation) I noted that iMovie was in process of update all by itself, it never asked me to do that. When I entered the App Store, iMovie didn't appeared in the Update list, and it's latest version was released in 2013. Is that normal? Why does it happen? Should I be worried?
Settings > iTunes & App Store
Look in 'Automatic downloads' section
Are 'Apps' and 'Updates' turned on?
It is a built in feature to update apps so you shouldn't worry if it is on.
The store also says October 2013 is the latest iMovie for me.
Interesting, quite a neat feat right there but… iTunes, Apps and Updates are unabled, is this some kind of glitch on the Software?
I'd describe it as a gitch 🙂
I'm not sure what is involved in the app update process that would cause this.
If it happens again grab a screenshot & consider taking it to an Apple store. Personally I'd backup & restore the device before that to see if it will make any difference.
