so i decided to download quicktime player today and now what i've downloaded it everytime i try to go onto google or yahoo or anything there's another window that pops up with a random ad, is there any way i can uninstall it?
No doubt you used another site and not Apple's when you downloaded QuickTime and have had malware installed on your machine.
is there a way that i can remove it?
Sure. But it would help to know what was installed.
What type of machine do you have. Where did you download from?
so i have a macbook air and shoot i dont remember where i downloaded it from, all i know is that i was trying to watch today live and it said that i had to download quicktime in order to watch it and i was an idiot and i clicked yes.. do you have something that i can talk to you better on because im really freaking out now and i REALLY need help...
and also everytime i try to go on facebook, etc, i still can go on it but EVERY TIME there's another window pops up and its mackeeper
OS X machines already have QuickTime installed so I don't know why you would be prompted to download it again.
Search your Safari history to find the download site and get rid of MacKeeper software.

It wasn't even QuickTime you were trying to install.
Software is called Lightspark Player and all the links I can find only offer PC removal instructions.
I don't know what else to tell you.
do you know why it shows up at quicktime then?

It has nothing at all to do with QuickTime Player.
