Q: how do i fix the error "unable to initiate core midi" when i load up logic x on mavericks

always get this error msg, failure to initiate core midi every time i load up logic x ...also it take almost 5 mins for logic x to load up

You have might some 3rd party MIDI driver installed, which has an issue with Mavericks. Check the following directories:

 

  • ~/Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers
  • /Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers
