Receiving podcast login prompt & doesn't appear to be related to iTunes update

About 2 days ago I updated apps in iTunes 11.2.2 (3). Shortly after, a pop-up window with my email address already in it prompted me to "authenticate" to receive the most recent download of a podcast I'd signed up for several months ago. So, I entered my iTunes login. Didn't work. So, I reviewed my previous two iTunes versions of logins (associated w/ the same email address) and they didn't work either. At this point I have no idea what to enter. I'm not desperate to hear the podcast, but the danm pop-up keeps reappearing persistently and I can't make it go away.
