My iPhone won't shuffle music?

I upgraded to iOS 7.0.2 on my iPhone 5 the other day but I'm not sure if that's the problem, but every time I press the shuffle button it will freeze or if I'm playing a song and press the shuffle button in the bottom right corner the song number (ie, song 7 of 24) will change to -2147483648 of 0 and the song will continue to play but after the song is finished the the music will stop. I'm honestly so confused, and I can only play the music if it is not in shuffle mode.
