Time display in Logic X: why does the hours begin '01' and not '00'?

I know it's not the end of the world, but when I change the LCD display to show elapsed time, with the playhead at the very start of the project why does it show '01:00:00:00.00' instead of '00:00:00:00.00'? One hour hasn't already elapsed. What time do Logic programmers think midnight is, 01:00 hours?

This is to avoid the problem of a "midnight crossing".

The SMPTE offset of 01:00:00:00 (one hour) is normally used, because it allows you to pre-roll an amount of timecode.
