Can i erase the memory off my ipad mini that wont turn on?

I have an Ipad mini that broke and wont turn on. I want to sell it to some website that buys broken electronics but before I send it out in the mail i want to wipe the memory just in case. Is there any way to do this? (I have tried everything and it does not turn on.)
