Moving On My iPad contacts to iCloud

Started entering my contacts prior to iCloud connection. All my iPad Air's contacts are in the On My iPad group. I have instituted iCloud on my iPad now, and I need to bulk move them to my cloud for synching among all my devices. So far they're trapped only in my iPad. Is there a magic bullet for this, or do I need to share them all one at a time with myself?

All apps and iOS are up to date.
