My iPod Touch won't play first song of playlist again in shuffle.

When I start shuffling a playlist from a selected song, it won't play that song again. Once it runs through the playlist, it starts at a different song, and will actually repeat that song in the shuffle, but not the originally selected song. It's very weird.
