I can't install the 7.1.2 update! What to do?

What exactly happens when you try? Try the other method:

- Settings>General>Software Update

- Via iTunes on computer

I got the word to update to iOS 7.1.2 for my iPad and ended up in a loop. First the back-up was corrupt. Then it appeared to update, however iTunes kept prompting me to update. So after trying several times, I finally came to the Support Discussios to see what the problem was. Thanks lllass for the suggestion to check the software update on my iPad - seems my software is all up-to-date with iOS 7.1.2 despite iTunes thinking I still need to update.
