Connection Problems (request timeout for icmp_seq)

So I'm using MAC OS 10.9.4 and I'm trying to set up a server connection on my work laptop, but when I try connecting, it always fails to connect. I try pinging my computer and the request times out:

PING kevinzheng-ltm.internal.salesforce.com (10.85.25.168): 56 data bytes

Request timeout for icmp_seq 0

Request timeout for icmp_seq 1

Request timeout for icmp_seq 2

Request timeout for icmp_seq 3

Request timeout for icmp_seq 4

Sometimes however, the connection appears to return to normal without reason, and at the same time, I've noticed that my IP address has changed:

PING kevinzheng-ltm.internal.salesforce.com (10.33.14.65): 56 data bytes

64 bytes from 10.33.14.65: icmp_seq=0 ttl=64 time=0.064 ms

64 bytes from 10.33.14.65: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.051 ms

64 bytes from 10.33.14.65: icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.057 ms

64 bytes from 10.33.14.65: icmp_seq=3 ttl=64 time=0.054 ms

I have noticed that every time the address changes to 10.85.25.168, there is a problem. But when it changes to 10.33.14.65, there is no connection problem. It also appears that the IP address just changes without me knowing it (until I try pinging my machine). What would be the issue here?
