I've just bought a Ricoh SP201N printer advertised as Windows/Mac compatible. There are no Mac drivers on the disc supplied. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I managed to download a load of Ricoh drivers from Techspot but no guidance as to which might work with this printer.
Any software that comes on a disc is years out of date.
If the printer is supported by Apple, then any software it needs should be downloaded automatically when you add it in the Printers & Scanners preference pane. However, the model you mentioned is not listed as supported here:

The manufacturer's website is the best source for further information.
Thanks Linc. I suspected that might be the position. I think I'll have to contact RICOH; nothing on their website seems to help.

As an experiment, you could try "generic PCL" or "generic postscript" as driver.
Ricoh is really being obtuse - their "specifications" page for this printer doesn't say what page description language (example - postscript or PCL) this printer uses.
More to the point, the brochure shows that it is a DDST(GDI) only printer. It doesn't appear that there are any optional add-on for PCL or PostScript. If the printer was already set up, you most likely could print a profile or configuration of the device from the font panel to see what printer languages it understands.
