How to change my default pdf to adobe acrobat reader
I have a Mac OS X 10.6.8 How do I get things to print that need Adobe Acrobat reader?
What you could do is in the installation of Acrobat, choose that you want Acrobat to be your default PDF reader.

P.S. If you can, update your Mac to OSX Mavericks. Most Macs released in 2009 or later are supported by Mavericks.
