upgrade to Maverick from Lion was interrupted. How do I finish upgrade?

While trying to upgrade to Maverick from Lion the process was interrupted. Now I can not finish upgrade. What can I do?

Try a restart, which sometimes solves the problem. If not and you can restart, run the installer again.
