I am soon buying a macbook air 13". I want to play age of empires 2 HD on the machine but it is not nativly supported on OS X. I wondered if i could install X64 XP on a separate partition as XP (when installed) is about 1.2GB yet 7 is near 20GB! Since I'm getting the 128GB model, The space is important to me!
No. No version of Boot Camp supports 64-bit Windows XP, and Boot Camp 5 doesn't support setting up Windows XP or Vista; you need to use a product such as VirtualBox, Parallels Desktop, or VMware Fusion instead.

You can't install XP, and 20GB for Windows & and AOE will be too small for Windows to run correctly. 60GB is a sensible size. 40 minimum.
See, I only have 128gb and I want to spend as little space as possible, also, VMware/Paralells will slow things down as it's for a a game. What if I used RT7Lite to cut windows down?
