Apple Remote

I got a MacBook Pro, and love everything about it and one thing I really looked forward to was being able to use the Apple Remote with it and not have to move to much to play music from iTunes. I was devastated when I got my Mac and saw that there wasn't an IR port like I was told.😟 So i was wondering is there an IR receiver i could buy. And I can't use my iPhone because I don't have Wi-Fi and hate to deal with my HotSpot.
