I just installed Windows 8 on BootCamp on my MacBook Pro. It runs OS X Mavericks. I want to know what happens if I get a virus on my Windows Partition. Will it take up more space or harm my Mac?

If the Windows side has a virus that can then access your Mavericks side (via the read-only HFS drivers installed by Bootcamp), it can see and pull files and data. If you have a virus on the Windows side, it should be removed.
virus's are not cross platform so a windows virus could not infect a mac even if one downloaded it directly to the mac
same with a android virus or a organic virus
Java is cross platform, and can be compromised and it makes very little difference which OS is underlying Java.
