You are running iOS. There are no known viruses on iOS. All app are curated by apple before they are allowed to run on your iPad/iPhone.
In the rare incident of a malware problem, Apple as fixed the problem quickly.
You can fall for phishing schemes on the ipad. Do not enter your password or banking information unless you are sure you are on the correct page.
