App Store badge is not showing badge when update is available iOS 7

Hi, I'm having some issues with the App Store badge on iOS 7. The App Store icon never shows the badge of available updates even I have updates. I need to open App Store to know if I have any app to update. If I don't open App Store, app updates start to cumulate since the last time I've checked for updates but I don't get any badge on the icon. How can I solve this? P.S: Running iOS 7.1.2 on iPhone 5s

Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh and see that you have that turned on.

I've lot's of apps but App Store isn't listed in there

Go to Settings > Notification Center > scroll down and select App Store. Make sure the Badge App Icon is turned on.

Yes it's turned on, it was one of the first settings I've checked
