Swapping apple i.d to upgrade apps

Okay, I have recently purchased an app that was for free using my OLD Apple ID but then realised that I could only do so much on it unless I upgraded to the pro version which would cost me just over $7. Because of this, I had asked a friend who already has the pro version of the app I wanted if I could use their apple ID and download the pro version not costing me anything. I thought that maybe I could iCloud it. Because I have I clouded many apps that people with the same Apple ID have but everytime I go to download this pro app for free it is saying I need to buy it when it is already brought on this NEW account. Can anyone please help??? 🙂
