I replaced my wireless keyboard to my IMac but it won't sync through the Blutooth. However my mouse works. How do I type in the password on my IMac in order to open up to the desktop if the keyboard is not working?
I suggest you reset the SMC and see if that helps (no KB required).

The batteries are new & functioning in the keyboard?
Try turning off the mouse too - the OS normally complains when no input sources are available & launches Bluetooth setup assistant.
Remove any other keyboards that may be connected too.
Thank you for your suggestion. I had to restart the computer and the keyboard at the same time so they would sync properly.
See my answer to Drew Reece. Thank you for trying to help. I did get my keyboard going again. The batteries went dead immediately - so I changed them but was still having the problem until I shut down and then turned on the Mac and the keyboard at the same time.
How do you sign in on IMac after restart if keyboard is not syncing?
