My son has an IPod Touch 4th Gen, After I downloaded the "find my iPhone" app (an older version) I could no longer use the newer version to search for his iPod. So is there a way for me to get an older version so I can find his iPod? Or any other suggestions would be wonderful!!!

*Use your own 4th generation iPod to use older version of "Find my iPhone" that released in Sept 2013.
*If not, did you turn on Find my iPhone on his son's iPod?
*If you did not turn on Find my iPhone, then sorry, time to buy the new one.

The find my iphone was turned on. I dont have another iPod 4th Gen to use. Any other suggestions?
What iOS device are you using?
I have used my iPhone 5c and my computer to try and locate the iPod. I had no problems locating it until i downloaded "find my iPhone" app on his iPod, then it was no longer listed in my devices on my 5c or computer.
His son's iPod touch is lost? Where did he put somewhere?
Yes, the iPod Touch is lost and we were hoping to be able to play sound to find it. but it is not listed in the devices.
Did you remove the son's iPod from the list of your iCloud devices?
no, it automatically removed it when i downloaded the older version of the app on his iPod

The current version of the FindMyiPhone app on another device will find the iPod. You do not need a version that is also compatible with the 4G iPod.
