Apple mail occasionally doesn't remove the message from Outlook.com

Over the past few months my Apple mail, both on my iMac and MBP doesn't always remove the e-mail from the server which is Outlook.com. My mail settings on both Macs are to remove the e-mail from the server immediately. This is annoying only because Apple mail will often download the message again regarding it as a new message, if it is still on the server.

Could this be a problem with apple mail or the server outlook.com?

Is the connection IMAP or POP3?

If POP, change to IMAP.

POP works like snail mail just faster.

IMAP interacts with the server directly.

Aha! POP3 is starting to get really long in the tooth and is so buggy sometimes, plus, having it mimic IMAP is hard.

The closest I can offer is to set the server to not store mail on the server, but to deliver everything to the client.

Contact Bell support about if there will be IMAP options in the near future.

Consider changing email providers...

I know Gmail can import and send mail from POP addresses and so can the real Outlook.com
