Can you use a Slide Clicker on the Keynote on an iPad

I have started to use Keynote and want to do presentations using my iPad. Is there a way I can connect my regular Logitech Remote Clicker to drive the slides on the iPad? I know I can tether my iPhone through bluetooth but I don't really want to use my iPhone for this in case I drop it (plus it's more cumbersome to hold during a presentation that a clicker).
