Hey Lillypopstel, ??? What do you mean by it shows that it is charging? Can you describe what you are seeing? Or show a picture? Are sure it is a charging symbol-- the battery icon turning green or are you seeing something else? More detail please. Cheers.

If you "charge" overnight how long does the iPod last?

Not Charge

- Try another cable. The cable for 5G iPod (lightning connector) seems to be more prone to failure than the older cable.

- Try another charging source

- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Hey Lillypopstel, Just to be clear, when you say you tried different "charges", you mean different cables, correct? Have you tried a different charging device? The power source. If you have or that does not solve, then as Illaass stated sounds like a hardware issue. Contact your Apple store or the Apple Genius Bar, set up an appointment to have your iPod evaluated. Good luck. Cheers.
