This has been an issue for the past couple of days. The on-screen tool that shows me what percentage of power I have left is stuck. If I log out, I can see the true percentage, but if I log back in, I can't. Example: The other day the meter said 60% while it was really about to die (~3%). Is there a way to fix this?

I should say a different, usually lower percentage.
So the battery icon at the top of the login screen shows a different value than what you see in the menu bar after logging in?
YEs. The menu, system preferences, and activity monitor all show the same value, unchanged. The login screen says something lower.
Is the meter completely frozen, or just inaccurate?
The issue has resolved itself. The meter must have gotten off when I changed the time earlier this week, then changed it back. It must have something to do with the "calculating time remaining" feature. This must also be why it was only on my account, and not the entire operating system.
